Rapid advancoment of AI platform such as Chat GPT has everyone from librarians to jubges, to nurses to criminal investigator asking, how exposed is my job?

lots of people are interested in understanding what types of jobs are going to be affected by AI? What policy responses we might want to think from a socital point of view.

this is a professor and AI expert Robert Semens and he coauthored a paper ranking nearly 800 jobs in there exposure to artificail intelligence. Particulary, to AI language modeling.

I am not in the top 20, however, I am in number 22 in the list.

the methodology takes 52 human abilities used at various jobs as defined at the department of labor.

there could be things like inductive and deductice reasoning, image recognition , language comprehension and to ones that are much more physical, so, trunk strength , arn- hand steadiness, something like that.

And maps those 52 human abilities to ten areas where AI most excels.

things like image generation, image recongition, language modeling and things like that.

the more those AI skills and human ability overlapped, the more a job was determined to be exposed AI.

To fucus the study, they did not consider the effect of robots and other automatic machines in the research, and then skewed the rankings for some jobs that you might think would be more vulnerable to advances in technology.

workers in manufactuaring settings or maybe trasportation warehouse types setting score very low in exposure to AI as opposed to other types of automation.
